Requirements

The following items are needed in order to set up a live stream:

  • An RTMP, MPEG_TS or SRT Listener Mode stream URL - this is allocated by the Content Fabric administrator to your tenancy

  • Optionally a local copy of elv-live-js https://github.com/eluv-io/elv-live-js. This is a command line tool used for creating and managing streams. Streaming will particularly focus on the elv-stream tools located in the repo.

Networking

Content Fabric nodes use port TCP/1935 for RTMP streams and ports UDP/11001-11100 for MPEG-TS and SRT. Please ensure that local firewall rules are adjusted to allow the outbound stream traffic.
